Built around 1900 as a family home, Carleton Court was, for many years, the Christ Church Vicarage. A beautiful, period, family home with many unique, original features, it has been extensively and sympathetically refurbished to provide comfortable accommodation for up to 24 residents.
Carleton Court enjoys a country house setting, yet community facilities are close at hand here on the outskirts of the popular market town of Skipton in Yorkshire. A family concern, our aim is to offer a quality service in comfortable, homely surroundings with a friendly atmosphere, whilst encouraging independence and individuality.
The qualified, well trained team of carers strive to promote the home’s philosophy of care and residents and staff are encouraged to involve themselves in a varied programme of social activities both in and out of the home. Residents will be offered assistance and encouraged to maintain active contact with the church of their choice.
A varied range of menus, chosen in consultation with the residents, are offered with special diets and preferences happily catered for. The menu varies weekly, with the main meal of the day being served at lunchtime. Times can be flexible in order to meet individual requirements.
Fresh fruit is available in the lounge and dining room and home-baking is offered with morning coffee and afternoon tea. You can invite your guests to join you at any time (we have plenty of parking for them) and in order to personalise your room, we encourage you to bring the small furnishings and objects that you delight in.
A spacious sun lounge, two comfortable dining rooms, an elegant reception hall with sweeping staircase, specially designed bathrooms with hydrotherapy, en-suite rooms plus a stair-lift and eight-person lift are just some of the reasons we know you will love it here, at Carleton Court of Skipton …a genuinely caring residential care home for the elderly.
