Carleton Court is an impressive home, which has been recently refurbished, with beautiful features and comfortable accommodation for up to 24 residents, in tastefully decorated and furnished surroundings. We serve delicious, varied menus with fresh fruit, home-baked treats, morning coffee, and afternoon tea – creating a welcoming environment for older people in Skipton and across North Yorkshire.

Opened in 1997, we have strong links to our local community here in scenic Skipton – gateway to the Yorkshire Dales; our residents are encouraged to make the most of this wonderful area with its bustling street markets and stunning scenery.

Our Care

Carleton Court enjoys a country house setting, yet community facilities are close at hand as it is situated on the outskirts of the popular market town of Skipton, famous as the gateway to the scenic Yorkshire Dales and renowned for its bustling street markets. Carleton Court is only 11 miles from Settle and 12 miles from Haworth, the home of the Brontes. It is the depth of concern for the needs of the individual, cared for by specifically trained staff, in a pleasant semi-rural environment that sets Carleton Court apart. Come and see for yourself.

Our Aim

Our aim is to offer a quality service in comfortable homely surroundings with a friendly family atmosphere whilst encouraging independence and individuality. The qualified, well-trained team of carers strive to promote the home's philosophy of care, and residents and staff are encouraged to involve themselves in a varied programme of social activities both in and out of the home.

 

Residents will be offered assistance and encouraged to maintain active contact with the church of their choice. A varied range of menus, chosen in consultation with the residents, are offered with special diets and preferences being catered for. The menu varies weekly with the main meal of the day being served at lunchtime.

 

Times can be flexible to suit individual needs. Fresh fruit is available in the lounge and dining room and home baking is offered with morning coffee and afternoon tea.
