About Carleton Court

Carleton Court Residential Care Home for the elderly stands in its own spacious grounds with mature gardens and lawns. Built around 1900 as a family home it was for many years Christ Church Vicarage.

Carleton Court is an impressive home, which has been recently extensively refurbished, with beautiful features and comfortable accommodation for up to 24 residents, in tastefully decorated and furnished surroundings. We serve a varied menu and make fresh fruit available as well as home-baked items with morning coffee and afternoon tea.

Opened in 1997, we have strong links to our local community here in scenic Skipton – gateway to the Yorkshire Dales; our residents are encouraged to make the most of this wonderful area with its bustling street markets and stunning scenery.

It is the depth of concern for the needs of each individual that makes our friendly, trained staff so key to the lovely atmosphere our residents enjoy at Carleton Court. With varied social activities, maintenance of community links, access to services and sumptuous surroundings, we know we can help you feel at home, at Carleton Court.

Our Care

Carleton Court enjoys a country house setting, yet community facilities are close at hand as it is situated on the outskirts of the popular market town of Skipton, famous as the gateway to the scenic Yorkshire Dales and renowned for its bustling street markets. Carleton Court is only 11 miles from Settle and 12 miles from Haworth, the home of the Brontes. It is the depth of concern for the needs of the individual, cared for by specifically trained staff, in a pleasant semi-rural environment that sets Carleton Court apart. Come and see for yourself.

Residents will be offered assistance and encouraged to maintain active contact with the church of their choice.
